dhale's Review and Opinion:
MLB 2K9 doesn’t provide any improvements in the world of baseball gaming. But more than that, this game has issues. Take for example balls that hit the outfield fence. The outfielder comes out a mess in the game—either he continually runs in place against the fence or ends up disappearing only to come back and make a throw home. This is just one example though. There are other anomalies.
Slow recognition also poses a predicament.
What was cute was the way the game captured players mannerisms.
More fun is the idea that you can actually trade players according to your liking.

i enjoyed playing this game.. but for those who are really looking for some adventure, this won't work for you.

Storyline excerpt:
Use the right thumbstick to pitch. Each pitch has its own movements. The catcher calls the game for you. But you can always ignore your teammate. But of course, the catcher expects the ball according to his whim or call if you have it.
Hitting is all about timing. But the ball can take after your swing.
Then there is the trading system. Handle free agents more wisely.
