thebitch's Review and Opinion:
I love Mickey Rourke, ever since his amazing role as Marv in "Sin City" I think this film is the topper and he does an amazing job. He's one lucky bastard getting to co-star with Marisa Tomei. The story translates as a sign of love for ones career and letting everything else that truly matters in life fall behind, until one day he rises again and makes good not only for himself but for his family and new found love.

Its kind of a cross between documentary film style and big budget all very well done.

Fine audio aspects that were well recorded.

I can't say it's completely original but there haven't been too many movies about professional wrestlers. This film is closer to Rocky.

Fine actors and well depicted characters made it convincing enough to latch on to the story without deeming it cheesy.

Great acting and a bit of a tear jerker at times.

Synopsis:
Randy "The Ram" Robinson, a 1980s-era pro wrestler, has become a burnt-out shell of his former self. After he has a heart attack during a small-time match, a doctor tells him he could die if he fights again. In an effort to build a new life, Robinson takes a job at a deli, moves in with an aging stripper and tries to build a relationship with her son. But the prospect of a rematch with his old nemesis, the Ayatollah, proves too tempting to resist, even if it means risking his life.
